Okay, so I didn't post yesterday... I was out for a friend's birthday. We went bowling, and dancing, and the bar did beer by the jug which led to a very happy Craig... Today is another day where I've no idea what to write, so I'm just gonna random ramble again.
Anonymous Elegance
This stranger I spy,
It was her smile,
That's what caught my eye.
I hope she stays a while.
Everything so elegant,
No need to make a scene.
Her composure is a testament
To everything serene.
She seems so calm,
So at home though she's a stranger,
She soon begins to charm
And quell all worry or danger.
I.
I talk.
I stammer.
I fail.
She laughs.
Pity? Perhaps.
Perhaps she actually cares.
There is a sudden mental lapse
As she catches me unaware.
I may never see her again,
Though I hope someday that I do.
And I know I should refrain
From hope, but perhaps she hopes so too...
No explaining here. Make of it what you will. I need to eat!
Adios for now,
Craiggy.
Whether from experience or just meant figuratively, it is a poem of eloquence and elegance. The loss of rhyme in the fourth stanza is a nice touch to illustrate your perceived lack of elegance. A beautiful poem.
