Entwined Part 5.

Well now, busy busy! My parents came down for a visit today, which was a real treat seeing them. But boy what a long day. Anyhoo, here we go with the next installment of Entwined.

It took me a good forty minutes to prepare for my excursion to the police station. I'd geared up as best as I could. Blacks, climbing harness, a pair of punch pads, but more for the protection of anyone I had to hit. I didn't want to go accidentally punching a cop's teeth through his throat. I grabbed a small rucksack to complete my kit and was just about to leave when I got a text from Eddie. There had been another attack. I'd have to hurry, but this sorta worked in my favour, as it meant there would be less staff at the station. I'd probably regret my sense of relief at the expense of someone's life later.

At the station, it was quiet, barely lit. Hardly any of the street lamps worked. I managed to get on to the roof with little effort, barely even needed my harness. I got in through a skylight and already I'd had to subdue an officer. Had to hide them in a closet like some kind of stealth action game. I'd not done this for a while, but I could still remember where I needed to go. I just hoped that I wouldn't alert any more staff.
Once in the records office, it was a pretty quick search to find the files I needed, but I'd still taken too long. Lights were flashing and there was an alarm ringing. Great, there'd be police on my tail within a matter of- A bullet ricocheted off the wall at the side of my head. Forget minutes. They were here now.
I turned, three officers, shouldn't be too hard. I could pretty much almost follow the path of their bullets thanks to Shane's extra senses, but I still had to push myself hard to get out of the way. One clipped my shoulder and hurt like hell, but I managed to force my way out, files intact. Now I just had to get out of the rest of the station, alive preferably.

Not got much to say today, nor much drive to actually write anything more in depth. I apologise, but like I said, it's been a hectic day.

I'll make it up to you guys with a proper post tomorrow!
Craig.
